Why I photograph weddings:

I love photographing people who are so in love that they’re willing to make the greatest commitment to that love through marriage. I love that when they make this commitment, it reestablishes in every one of their guests the important people they have in their lives as well. It’s encouraging to see other couples, besides the bride and groom, who have loved one another for their entire lifetimes – such as the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. I love to capture the love in their faces, their smiles, their tears of happiness.

Weddings are among the happiest of occasions. It’s a privilege and a joy to be able to capture these moments for the bridal couple to enjoy for many, many years to come. The best part is, that these images, their story, will be enjoyed for generations. They will be able to look back and see the love and realize they are part of that story.

I love photographing weddings because I get to play a role in telling that story.

My favorite quote:

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” – John Lennon

My favorite dessert:

Ummmm, ice cream…no… pudding, yea pudding….maybe chocolate cake? hmmm… cheesecake!! Yea, that’s the ticket! Well… lets just day anything covered in sugar!

My favorite place to visit:

Maroon Bells in Aspen Colorado

My ideal Friday night:

Does sitting curled up on the couch next to your husband with a good book or an old movie constitute as an ideal Friday night? It does in my book, but we also love have friends over for a good meal and game night or periodically going into the city for good food and a show as well!

A little more about me:

I was born and raised just outside the “Windy City” of Chicago. In 1988, I fell in love with Colorado Springs, Colorado and made the big move “out West”.

My love of photography began in the 7th grade, everywhere I went, there was always a camera with me. I began my career in photography in 1989 and has spent the last 34 years doing exactly what I love! I have a beautiful 25-year-old daughter and married the love of my life in 2011. I moved back to Chicago after marrying my husband and am continuing to pursue the passions in my life.
